GROUP TOURS

Spread over two acres of living history, your tour group will get a close-up, hands-on experience of what life was really like in the Nation's Oldest City during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. They'll take part in interactive activities and living history demonstrations, and enjoy immersive dioramas and graphical stories that highlight St. Augustine's layered history.

The Colonial Quarter pre-booked group tour lasts just under one hour. Your group will be met by a personal tour guide who will lead everyone on a living history adventure through time, with comprehensive narration and interactive activities every step of the way.

Our 18th Century Spanish Garrison Town boasts a fully authentic 18th century environment that tells the story of the lives of those who supported the Castillo de San Marcos and features family-style table seating for up to 250 visitors, perfect for a lunchtime group meal!

Group visitors will see and experience this and much more!

• Take part in a musket drill in the 17th Century Spanish Fortified Town
• Climb to the top of our interpretation 17th century watchtower for a stunning view of the Castillo de San Marcos and the bayfront
• Dig into archaeological evidence where one of St. Augustine's elusive first wooden forts likely stood
• Experience 16th Century boatbuilding and blacksmithing from the 1600s
• See historic preservation at work in the original 1740s de Mesa-Sanchez House
• Learn about the melting pot of cultures that left their mark on St. Augustine from Native Americans and Minorcans to the Spanish, British and African-Americans

Location

The Colonial Quarter entrance is conveniently located on St. George Street and a short walk from the bus loading/unloading area at the Castillo de San Marcos and at the downtown parking garage.
