SCOUT TOURS

As part of their historic adventure through the Colonial Quarter, your scout troop will take part in an exciting and educational archaeological hunt spread over two acres of this living history museum. They'll get hands-on experience of what life was really like in the Nation's Oldest City during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries through interactive activities, demonstrations, enjoy immersive dioramas and graphical stories.

The Colonial Quarter Scout Tour runs for just under one hour. A personal tour guide will lead your scouts on a living history adventure through time, with comprehensive narration and interactive activities every step of the way...

Scouts will...

• Take part in a musket drill in the 17th Century Spanish Fortified Town
• Climb to the top of our interpretation 17th century watchtower for a stunning view of the Castillo de San Marcos and the bayfront
• Dig into archaeological evidence where one of St. Augustine's elusive first wooden forts likely stood
• Experience 16th Century boatbuilding and blacksmithing from the 1600s

Upon successful completion of the archeological hunt, troop members will receive their official St. Augustine Colonial Quarter patch!

Admission

• $8 per scout (minimum of 10 scouts)
• $11 per additional chaperone

Location

The Colonial Quarter entrance is conveniently located on St. George Street and a short walk from the bus loading/unloading area at the Castillo de San Marcos and at the downtown parking garage.
