Colonial Quarter
Colonial Quarter
Step back in time and journey through centuries of St. Augustine rich history brought to life at the Colonial Quarter.
Spread over two acres of living history, students get a close-up, hands-on experience of what life was really like in the Nation's Oldest City during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. They'll take part in interactive activities and living history demonstrations, and enjoy immersive dioramas and graphical stories that highlight St. Augustine's layered history, and its role as the colonial foundation of America.
The Colonial Quarter educational program lasts just under one hour. Your group will be met by your personal tour guide who will lead you and your students on a living history adventure through time, with comprehensive narration and interactive activities every step of the way.
Our 18th Century Spanish Garrison Town boasts a fully authentic 18th century environment that tells the story of the lives of those who supported the Castillo de San Marcos and features family-style table seating for up to 250 visitors, perfect for a lunchtime group meal!
Students will see and experience this and much more!
The Colonial Quarter entrance is conveniently located on St. George Street and a short walk from the bus loading/unloading area at the Castillo de San Marcos and at the downtown parking garage.
